CMRA Summer with Circuits and Electronics
Summertime is always a busy time for our group! Every year we host and train hundreds of teachers from all around the world. We are fortunate to meet these wonderful educators from around the world who share the same vision that we do - to motivate and excite students about CS and STEM!
Electronics and the Circuitry game
We also had the chance to create a few new lessons and a new Circuitry game to go along with our lessons! Our team has been working to create materials to teach students the skills that technicians typically to work in the industry. It is a part of two different projects: the Smart Manufacturing and Advanced Robotics Training (SMART) project, and its companion project the SMARTER (or SMART Extended Reach) project where we are offering Electronic materials to underserved communities as part of workforce development in our area. Two very exciting projects!
Circuitry game
Our new circuits activity has sets of questions that has students connecting circuits together, measuring voltages using a Multimeter, and seeing the differences between Series circuits and Parallel Circuits.
To use this game in your classroom:
Step 1: Create a Group on CS2N
The first thing that you will need to do is create an account on CS2N.org. Once you have an account, you will need to create a Group. To create a Group on CS2N:
- Log onto CS2N.org
- Hover on the Groups menu, select Create New Group
- Choose a Name
- Select "Circuitry Badge"
- Click Create Group
